The Undergraduate Research Initiative, take notion!

For all undergraduate students in the Department of History and Classics: below you will find some terrific activities organized by the Undergraduate Research Initiative. These workshops are a great way to build your CV and become serious about your own research.

February:

February 26 (12:35-1:20 p.m., 2-100 SUB): How to design and present an undergraduate research poster

March:

March 2: Deadline for applications: URI Undergraduate Researcher Stipend (for projects beginning May 2015)

March 5 (12:35-1:20 p.m., 2-100 SUB) How to present your undergraduate research

March 9: Deadline for nominations: U of A Award for Outstanding Mentorship in Undergraduate Research

March 9: Deadline for applications: URI Peer Undergraduate Research Liaison (PURL) Volunteer program (for 2015-2016)

March 10 (12:35-1:20 p.m., 2-100 SUB) Putting your research to work: translating your undergraduate research experience for potential employers

April 28 (12:05-12:50 p.m., 2-100 SUB) Making the most of your summer research experience

It would be terrific if you could share some of these dates!  Crystal and Yuan and the PURLS have been very busy with class visits as well.  They have traveling road shows on thinking about research, creating a poster, presenting.  They can also do custom presentations and workshop for classes and groups.  What a great way to bring undergraduate research into the class and help spread information about research and URI.
